My Fourth Week in Philippines

This is actually my last week. I can't deny, i was so sad because i have to separate with them and leave this place. I think i left a part of my heart in here. We were finally left our main campus and go to Calapan campus for closing ceremony.

The next day after the closing ceremony, finally we were really left Oriental Mindoro. Too early and to hard to say goodbye.

We go to Tagaytay City. It is a sweet city i think. Big city with the big tree. 

There is crocodile, snake and bird. 
Woaaahhh, i am so afraid if the crocodile's mouth is open. Hahahah

Next, we go to Sky Ranch at Tagaytay City. There is sky eye in there. I like it so much. 
We have our lunch in here. 

About 5 or 6 pm, we go to Manila. Because, this is our last day with arin and dhana. thwy have flight tomorrow. 
We spend our night in Octagon Hotel. I, ket ket, and arin in one room. We eat our dinner in Mc D. At 4 am, Arin, Dhana, I, Ket ket, Pi boy and Sir Jerome go to the airport. In the airport, when i, ket ket, and Arin go to find some food, we loose our way. Hahahaha. But i am so sad because i have to separate from Arin and Dhana. We go back to hotel after this sadness.

At 11 am, we go to the museum of Jose Rizal.

We are do tour in here for independence day of Philippines.

After that, we go to venice mall, it seems like i am in the Venice Italia, hahaha,. 
This is so nice place. 
After this, we go to the mall of asia, to buy souvenir and our needed things. We go to the hotel at 1 am. 
Actually i don't want to sleep because i am afraid that i will wake up late, because i have to go to airport at 4 am. But finally i sleep and ket ket wake me up at 04.30. And we go to the airport. I can't hold my tears when i hug ket ket. i am so sad because i have to separate from my bestfriend. Goodbye MinSCAT Family, Goodbye Ket ket, Pi boy, Ida, To, Dhila, Nuk, Arin, Dhana, Ulya, and Ika, I hope someday i can meet all of you again. Goodbye PHILIPPINES. Thank you so much for this sweet moment.

My Third Week in Philippines

We go to Benilda Resort. Just from Calapan and Main Campus. Actually i was sad because i can't meet Ulya and Arin. We were swimming in here. And some of them singing, i was not singing because i was not confident. Hahaha. We just in the swimming pool, talked and laugh each other.
After this, we go to the nauhan park. 
 finally we can eat street food in here. This is seafood. It is so delicious. I, ket ket, and pi boy like this so much

 Because we are so hungry, before we go to the main campus, we ate in KFC. 

On Sunday, I, Dhila, Ida, Ket ket, Amira, and Ika, go to Bongabong Campus to meet Ulya and Arin.

My Second Week in Philippines

On this second week, we go to Private Beach in Nauhan. For your information, we use the wrong way hahaha. We were so happy in there. The owner was so kind. He gave us so many food hahaha. I was feel so comfortable in there. The owner showed us the villa and resort unfinish building. We played a lot, so unforgetable memories in there.

My First Week in Philippines

We go to Puerto Galera!!!!
I, ket ket, pi boy, dhana, amira, ida, Sir Jerome and mam Lizel go to Calapan city using sir Jerome's van. We met ulya, arin, ika, dhila, and To in calapan. We talk much when we meet each other. Dhila is a humoris person. I always laugh when she tell the joke. From Calapan, we go to Puerto Galera. We go to puerto galera using the van. I sit with ket and mam lizel.  I dunno how far was it, because i just slept in the van. Hahahah. We ate our lunch in Infinity Resort. So beautiful and ofcourse, so many delicious food. I like it so much, hahaha. Infinity resort is like a private resort. I see the cost and it is so expensive. We took so many picture in here. But unfortunately the weather is not good. There is no sunshine in infinity resort. I believe if there is a sunshine it will be better. After lunch in infinity resort, we go to Puerto Galera With Beach. I was so happy in there, there are a beaautiful beach and so many tourist from korea. hahaha. Actually i am a korean addicted. So, that is why i am so happy in there. I like the view and ofcourse i like the oppa. We bought souvenir in here. There are so many seller and i meet many muslim seller in here. I buy on bag from the seller that have the experience to go to oman. I am so happy because he give me cheap cost for my bag.  After that, we go back to Calapan campus. We spend the night in Calapan campus. Talk and eat. But i am too tired. On the next day, we ate in Mc D and after that go to the Robinson Mall. And finally we go home. The mountain, main Campus, our favorite.

"Hello Philippines!" As a Part of the 5th Batch of Seameo Sea Teacher Student Exchange Project in Southeast Asia

I am so happy because i pass the selection and i get the student exchange to go to Philippines. It is SEAMEO PROGRAM. 
"The SEA Teacher Project or the “Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia” is a project that aims to provide opportunity for pre-service student teachers from universities in Southeast Asia to have teaching experiences (practicum) in schools in other countries in Southeast Asia. 
Based on the SEAMEO seven priority areas for the eleven SEAMEO Member countries to work together to improve the quality of education in Southeast Asia, “Revitalizing Teacher Education” is one of the priority areas in building and strengthening capacity of teachers in the region.

I go from hotel near the airport about 8 am, even my flight schedule is 11 am and i get the delay one hour. Hahahah. So i have to wait so long in the airport. And finally we go to Manila.

We arrived about at 6 pm manila's time. I met sir Jerome, Mam Lizel and Sir Edgar (Sir Antony). We arrived in terminal 3 Ninoy Aquino International Airport. We go to terminal 2 to fetch the other student from Thailand. We met them, Her name is Natta Janphut and Pongtep Kawpruk. In the first time i meet them, they are so silent. They are so seldom talk with us.
But we keep talk each other. We go to The Mall of Asia. we buy the simcard. I like this mall, so big and i like the tumblr. After that, we go to Yoshinoya in the Mall of Asia. i eat tempura.

After eat in Yoshinoya, we go to the port, because we have to use ship to go to ORIENTAL MINDORO PROVINCE. We arrived in the port at 12 am and we have to wait the ship about one hour. Oh my God i am so sleepy hahaha. Finally 1 am and we go to the ship!

About 4 hour in the ship. It is my first time. Finally we arrived in Calapan Campus. It is about at 04.30 am. 
We sleep and wake up at 10 am maybe. I am not sure. We go around to see MinSCAT Calapan Campus.


We wait for opening ceremony at 1 pm. When the opening ceremony, actually i showed traditional dance from Bengkulu, but unfortunately, there is no documentation for that. And finally the journey start. WELCOME MY NEW STORY, HELLO PHILIPPINES!

Summary and Suggestions After Finished My Practicum in MinSCAT Laboratory High School



Hai, today i will share to you about summary and suggestion after i finished my practicum in MinSCAT Laboratory High School :) . The purpose of this practicum is to make us more confident. Actually i am so thank you for this program, because after this program, i am so confident to speak in English and i am more confident to teach the student. I also feel that this program gives me the new knowledge. So many new knowledge that i get from this program. About culture, about education, how to be a great teacher. I also learn about the student characteristic, what should i do to understand them and to make them open their mind. 
For the first week of the practicum period, i observe the school, and because this is the laboratory high school, i also observe the university. I was so happy when i observe this school, i met so many kind and good people. The principle, the teachers and especially the students. They were very welcome to me and smile at me, talk to me. Thank you so much!
I am so happy because finally at the end, i can make my student into active student, into open mind student. They are change, they are better now. They giving the attention in the class, they do their quiz, they bring their book. Thank you my student. I am so proud to all of you and i miss you so much :)
To make them change is not easy. I am so proud because i am never give up. Giving them my smile, teach them as a HUMAN. I want them not just smart in what subject that i teach, but i want them to be a real human too. I want them care each other, and be a better student. I try my best, every time when i teach them. And i am so happy for the result when i see that they are change!

Actually, i am so thank you for this program. Because of this program, i meet the new family. My sea teacher friends Ket ket, pi boy, dhana, amira, ida, ulya, dhila, arin, ika, to, nuk,my Coordinator Sir Jerome,  Mr President, Lecturers and administrations in MinSCAT , mam lizel, My buddies from student teacher in MinSCAT especially angel and carla, the teachers in laboratory high school especially sir Marciano, Mam Sarah and Sir Paulo, and for the special one All Of My Student. So many memorable things happen, i am so proud with MinSCAT family for the best served and so thank you because of that. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a real teacher. Thank you so much. Thank you for our different religion, we are respect each other. Laugh together. So many memorable things. I am so happy to be a part of this program and to be with all of you.
I hope that for the next program, the information about this program will share more wide. I also hope that the rules will be explain really clear to all of the faculty so there is no miscommunication. Thank you SEAMEO for giving me this opportunity and giving me memorable experience!




Teaching Practice in MinSCAT Laboratory High School




Hai haiiiii, i will share to you about my experience when i teach the student in MinSCAT Laboratory High School. I taught grade 8! I taught grade 8 for three subject, math, English and computer education. wow, what a wonderful journey. Before i teach the student, i have to make the lesson plan and give it to my cooperating teacher and my coordinator, so they will check it first. Not just the lesson plan, i should prepare the other material if i use additional material. Additional material in here i mean, like power point. Sometimes i used powerpoint to show the student video, picture or the topic. The other, i used student work sheet. If i make student work sheet, i should put about the question and the rules and the topic in there. Another that, i should finish the student work sheet before evening, because i have to print it in the multimedia room, and it's lil' far from my hostel. Hahaha. 
I teach math every monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday,  at 07.30 or 07.45. Why i use or? hihihi, it's because they have to do flag ceremony everyday at 07.30 in the morning. But sometimes they will not do that because of rain. 
I teach english every monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday at 09.45 and i teach computer education every wednesday and thursday at 16.00.

I teach them start at prayer, i will choose one of them to lead the pray. Eveyday is different leader. Next i will do greetings, said good morning/afternoon to them. I have to checking the attendance to make sure who is my student that attend my class. I will ask to the secretary who's absent today. If the student have the assignment, i will ask to them, do they have a something difficult or not in their assignment. If they said, yes mam, ofcourse we will study that together. After we disscuss the assignment, i will review for them the past lesson. i will ask them, do they still remember the past lesson or not. After i do the daily routine, i will teach them about the topic today. I will give the motivation on learning and presentation to them. I will ask if they are understand or not with my topic today and do they have a question or not. After that, i will give them some activity that they must do. Sometimes it is in group and sometimes not in group. They have to present it in front of the class and we will discuss it together. I and the student will generalize the topic and they will do some quiz before i give them homework. After that i will close the class.
When the first time i teach math, i was so nervous. Especially When i see that almost all my student so passive to me, i was so sad. I think that, it maybe because it was my first time to teach them. I talked that with sir Marciano, and i was so happy because sir Marciano shared his experience to me and give me some suggestion. So, on the next time i teach them, i don't feel nervous anymore. I tried to make the passive student into an active student. I moved their sit position to make sure that they will not be so noise and i want them to be an active student. Actually, teach them is a funny time. When i saw them character, an active student, smart student, cute student, shy student. I was so happy. I tried to understand them one by one and i tried to make them more diligent. Do you know what? I met one student that just bring the lunch box to the school, so when i ask them to write something, he makes a reason that he didn't bring a book and pen. Actually, i was not angry with him,  i just lend him  the paper and pen, and i just ask them to bring that next class. But, in  the next class, he still  didn't bring  it,  i just smile  at  him,  and tell him  to bring it in  the  next class. I also met the other  student with a  not student style. He sit on  the behind, and not interesting in the class. I really want to  make  him  give the attention  when  i teach the student and really study in the class. So, i move his sit position in to front. I also give him the  attention, come  to him and see he really study  or  not. first,  i  just see that he still not give  the attention  with my subject.  on  the  next meeting,  i still see  that  he  didn't give the attention, but i tried  it  again. The other student that i met is the smart student but like a bad boy. I also meet a smart student but she is so shy. So much characteristic that i learn from them.

When i teach english, i feel the difference, because actually english subject is not my passion. I was so lucky because i meet a kind cooperating teacher. Actually i feel so confuse for the first time because i don't know what should i do. And then i tried to learn some material on the internet base on the sillabus that i get from mam Sarah, and finally i got it. For my next meeting, i was not feel that it is difficult again. When i teach computer education, actually the teacher is sir Paulo, i was thankful because he is so kind and give me so many suggest so i can teach them well.
